Umbrellas and Rainbows

Hello again!  I hope you are all surviving your Social Distancing/Self-Isolation/Lockdown.

It's day three of no school here and I have just sat down after an intense SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) themed Treasure Hunt activity with my daughter.  I have never been so stressed about setting up a game before!

I am rather glad to have escaped to do a little blogging with you.

Good news is that Stampin' Up! are still receiving and shipping orders successfully - I will keep you updated on this as events unfold, but do make the most of this and remember

Yes that's right you have five more days to make the most of this fabulous shopping treat.  When you spend £45 or more on Stampin' Up! products in a single order you can claim extra FREE products that are listed in the Sale-A-Bration brochures and there is even a THIRD RELEASE - Whoop Whoop!  If you have missed them here is the link to my shop where all the goodies can be found:

I thought I would share some photos of my latest Facebook LIVE projects.  I haven't been blogging or recording my LIVEs for a little while so I am rusty, but I have really enjoyed the excuse to spend more time on them and get back into it.

If you missed my Facebook LIVE tutorial, then you can watch it again here:

I used the Under My Umbrella Bundle again - I blogged about this bundle in my last post (click here to read it now).  I love it - it is so simple and cheerful!

I played around with some backgrounds this time.  Firstly I used by clear block to pick up ink from my ink pad and then print all over my Whisper White card front.  At first this can look messy, but it lightens as it dries and it gives a modern geometric look to the card, which I really like.

Adding a few details and a sentiment with the stamp set in contrasting ink colours really brings this card to life.

Which card base colour do you think sets the design off best?

Secondly I made this card.  This time my background was created using texture embossing.

I passed the card through my Big Shot with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder.  I love this technique with tone on tone.

The Granny Apple Green ribbon is a gorgeous pop of colour to accompany the simply stamped and punched umbrellas in four of the brights family colours.
