Thinking Outside The Box - Poppy Moments Dies

Just a quick post to share a card which came to mind today when I needed to send a friend some moral support, with a dose of humour.

Unfortunately this friend has gone down with some mild to medium symptoms of this worrying Covid-19 virus and has been feeling pretty rough and isolated.

Cue a card with a sense of humour!

Looking at the dies in this set I just couldn't get the virus emoji, which seems to be infecting a lot of my social media messaging of late, out of my mind.  Once you see it, you just can't shake it off, so I just has to make this card for my friend.

I created a a stencilled pattern with the negative cut-outs of the dies and a sponge dauber in Soft Sea Foam ink.  I then created a diagonal DSP layer using a piece from the Peaceful Poppies DSP.

The Virus motifs were cut in Call Me Clover and Granny Apply Green card stock and stuck together with a mini dimensional to give them lift.  Finally my sentiment is from the So Sentimental Bundle, which has some very cute stitched shapes in it.

We can't hug each other better right now, but a card sending virtual hugs is the next best thing, don't you think?

What have you created with your dies that are totally different from their original use?  I would love you to share with me.
