Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set

Welcome to the first official blog post on my new Blogger platform.  You can find me posting here from now on, so hooray if you found me!

Today's post is all about show casing the Holly Jolly Christmas Bundle of stamps and dies from Stampin' Up!'s Autumn/Winter Catalogue 2019 (p.24-26).

I wanted to make a different card, which celebrated the stamp designs, but took the colours in a different direction to the coordinating suite.  Here, I have gone with a monochromatic look, featuring two reds - Cherry Cobbler and Real Red.  I love how the two shades are different but work together.

I stamped the image in a wreath formation in Basic Black Momento Ink and then coloured the ribbon with the Cherry Cobbler Blends.  I repeated on a scrap of Whisper White and die cut the parcels out, this time colouring the paper in the Cherry Cobbler instead.

I created a sentiment feature from the Real Red and Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  This sentiment die is fantastic and isn't it reminiscent of a well-loved cola company that happens to have a Jolly Santa in its Christmas commercials?

The Diagonal Stripe Ribbon finishes this card off perfectly, along with a scattering of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (AC - p.178).

And of course do not forget the inside!  A peek-a-boo Santa stamped in Real Red and the completed sentiment cut with the word dies from this fabulous Bundle give the perfect surprise on the inside.

I foresee some more monochromatic cards in this style to follow.  Do check out my Facebook LIVE tutorial for this card via the link below:
